Colorpickle is a trimmed-down-to-the-very-basics arcade game, with a hardcore minimalist design and fast changing colors and music. Colorpickle demands the most of your guts and alertness, confronting you with the threshold where focus and eagerness turn into destructive greed.

History

Colorpickle started out as a game jam with one challenge in mind: create an arcade game that excites players even more than the early classical arcade games did. To honor those games Colorpickle has a minimalist, vintage design. To make the experience stronger and more sensory a lot of short music tracks and many different color schemes were added. The colors blend into one another as the music rapidly changes. In order to make the gaming experience physical as well, real effort has been put in making the tilt controls extremely smooth, forcing the player to physically steer and dodge with his device. This game has taken the best from the classical arcade games and manages to combine this with the sweetness of touch and tilt of modern devices.
